EATRIS Highlighted in ESFRI Industry Cooperation Report

Published 30 August 2023

EATRIS has been featured in the recently published ESFRI RIs Industry Cooperation Report for its role in promoting collaboration between the scientific research sector and industry. The report, titled “ESFRI RIs Industry Cooperation: Enhancing Impact and Innovation,” focuses on the valuable contributions of Research Infrastructures (RIs) in facilitating interactions between academia and industry, with EATRIS being cited as a notable example.

The report underscores the significance of fostering cooperation between research institutions and industries. Such partnerships not only address societal challenges but also promote economic growth through scientific advancements. It also offers a closer look at activities undertaken by selected European Research Infrastructure Consortia (ERICs), such as EATRIS, CESSDA, CERIC and EMBRC

The ESFRI report on pages 34-37, highlights EATRIS’s role in providing researchers and industry experts with access to advanced facilities, expertise, and resources. This collaborative approach has led to successful instances of translating research findings into innovative medical technologies, ultimately contributing to advancements in patient care, such as the EATRIS-GSK Imaging Hub.

The recognition of EATRIS in this report reflects EATRIS’ commitment since 2014 to advancing scientific progress and practical applications in medicine. By facilitating dialogue and collaboration between the scientific and industrial sectors, EATRIS continues to play a significant role in driving innovation and contributing to the field of translational medicine.
