WE ARE PROUD TO PRESENT THE EATRIS ACTIVITIES AND HIGHLIGHTS OF 2022.
Toni Andreu, Scientific Director of EATRIS, emphasises that “This report not only celebrates our accomplishments of the past year but also underscores the crucial impact we are making in advancing translational research for the betterment of patients across Europe.”
Packed with information and original visuals created by members of the EATRIS family, the report is a testament to the tireless efforts and unwavering dedication of the EATRIS community.
Among the report’s many highlights is EATRIS securing funding for a number of new pioneering EU-projects, including REMEDi4ALL, canSERV, EDITSCD, EOSC4Cancer, ISIDORe and HEAL. Of particular note is EATRIS’s leadership role in the REMEDi4ALL project. 2022 also saw the formal launch of EU-AMRI (the European Alliance of Medicine Research Infrastructures) in Brussels. Plus the new EATRIS Certificate of Commitment to Quality (ECCQ) was piloted as part of the EATRIS-Plus project and spearheaded by the EATRIS Quality Initiative.

The cover art is a graphical visualisation of data from Twitter on posts containing the hashtag #breastcancer. Twitter users are represented as nodes and the relationships between them (follows or mentions) are lines. The weight of the lines between nodes is determined by the number of times that a particular relationship is expressed within the data. We are grateful to Eric Clarke, Richard Arnett and Jane Burns (Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland) for allowing us to use the image and reimagine it with the EATRIS colour palette. We liked that the image amalgamates the facets of healthcare, data analytics, technology, network infrastructure, interconnected nodes, patient well-being, and effective communication.
