Join us in Rome to discover all key aspects of Cell and Gene Therapy development
This 5-day course will cover all the aspects related to Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs), one of the most promising and challenging therapies. The course aims at preparing the new generation of scientists on ATMP: from the preclinical development phase to clinical and regulatory requirements, the course will prepare the participants to overcome critical issues of the whole cycle of ATMP development. Moreover, the course offers a specific session on funding schemes and facilitating programs specifically available for ATMP.
The course is based on the experience of the now-concluded Erasmus+ ADVANCE programme coordinated by EATRIS, the European Infrastructure for Translational Medicine. Given the remarkable success of past editions, a decision was made by the Consortium to carry forward this educational course within the project “Rome Technopole”. This edition is co-organised by Italian National Institute of Health, Department of Oncology and Molecular Medicine and Takis Biotech Roma.
Aim and objectives
The aim of the course is to prepare students and early- career scientists from Italy and Europe to the scientific and regulatory principles fundamental for the development of ATMP through plenary lectures held by leaders in the field, and group work. The program also includes the visit of biotechnological facilities and networking events.
Specific objectives
At the end of the course, the participants will:
- Strengthen their quality of knowledge, skills and competencies with a broad overview of the challenges in ATMP development;
- Be aware of available tools, research infrastructures, and funding schemes that can facilitate the development of novel ATMPs;
- Gain stronger regulatory knowledge needed for the clinical development phase and marketing authorisation.
Registration
To register, complete the application form by 30 November 2024.
Participation is free of charge, travel and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the participant. A maximum of 30 attendees will be selected (10 attendees will be selected in priority within the founder partner of Rome Technopole).
Selection
Participants will be selected according to their CVs and motivation letters. Selected participants will be notified by 10 December 2024 and have to confirm participation by 15 December 2024.
