On 15-16 April 2024 EATRIS was presented to participants at the 2nd meeting on regenerative medicine in Bergen. For this occasion, Anita Kavlie, the National Coordinator of EATRIS Norway presented with support from Ulrika Bäckman, the National Coordinator of EATIRS Sweden.
The Nordic national coordinator tandem gave a broad and informative presentation on the many opportunities within EATRIS services such as collaboration, matchmaking distributed and research infrastructure facilities. Additionally, there were discussions on the potential of EATRIS as a future project partner and cooperation in the field of Advanced Therapies Medicinal Products (ATMPs), such as the creation of a Nordic hub of excellence. The audience of the 2nd meeting on regenerative medicine also got the preliminary results of the EATRIS Nordic ATMP Events Survey and participants were encouraged to add their names for future participation.
Anita Kavlie (EATRIS Norway, on right) noted that EATRIS was well received over the two-day conference, with audience members sharing their positive experience of the EATRIS matchmaking service. “It was also great to see so many companies who sponsored this meeting, show initiative to also attend the Nordic ATMP Hub events.”
Ulrika Bäckman (EATRIS Sweden, on left) added that the meeting in Bergen was “a unique opportunity to promote EATRIS and forge new contacts within the field of ATMPs; it is also an occasion to further cooperation among Nordic countries in this area”.
This is another great example of the close cooperation and support between EATRIS member countries in pursuit of better patient outcomes.
