We have launched a new online course on cell & gene therapy (ATMP) development. The course is based on materials developed as part of the ADVANCE project that was supported by Erasmus Plus.

Advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs) are based on genes, tissues or cells. They offer groundbreaking new opportunities for the treatment of disease and injury. As with all top-level innovation, the learning track to ATMP development can be challenging. This course aims to make the innovative field more accessible for the next generation of ATMP developers – i.e. early-career biomedical academics (PhDs, Postdocs), doctors in training, clinician-scientists and SME-based professionals.
The self-paced course is divided into 4 learning units: Scientific, Manufacturing & Quality, Regulatory and Reimbursement & Pricing + a bonus unit on career coaching. An overview of the course is here. The course has 12 expert speakers and a dedicated Regulatory unit developed with the European Medicines Agency.
We wish to thank all the ADVANCE project partners who contributed to the course materials: Elevate Health, EATRIS, Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS), KU Leuven, ULB/ I3H, University of Ljubljana Faculty of Pharmacy (UL FFA) and Takis Biotech.
