European Commission Selects EATRIS Best Practices for EU Knowledge Valorisation Platform

Published 8 March 2023

The European Commission has selected two EATRIS best practice examples to feature on the EU Knowledge Valorisation Platform. The EATRIS examples of best practice will be promoted in the framework of the EU Knowledge Valorisation Week 2023 with highlights showcased on the official event page.

The two examples are:

  • EATRIS’s innovative training workshop & curriculum: our annual 2-day workshop that fills a gap in industry-academic collaboration and existing training curricula by providing delegates with hands-on skills, theoretical knowledge, and a networking opportunity to effectively build strong and lasting relationships with industry.
  • The EATRIS public-private innovation hub: our novel and multilateral collaborating model for academia and industry that facilitates long-term public-private partnerships for the benefit of patients and citizens.

The EU Knowledge Valorisation Week takes place between 25-28 April 2023 and is a unique occasion to exchange and learn from others across Europe, to discuss current trends and challenges, and highlight novel approaches with a wide range of stakeholders. The week will have themed days devoted to sustainability, management of intellectual assets and industry-science cooperation. In the European Year of Skills, it will offer hands-on free training for researchers and young innovators to develop their skills in intellectual property management.
