Uppsala Clinical Research Center (UCR)
UCR is an extensive resource for clinical research regionally, throughout Sweden, and internationally. UCR is organized as an independent, non-profit research center affiliated with Uppsala University and Uppsala University Hospital. Employing more than 120 people, UCR has the knowledge and experience to conduct clinical research projects, from the smallest pilot study to global multi-center trials.The work has contributed to improving the health of people throughout the world, and we strive continuously to increase medical knowledge and improve health through research and quality monitoring.
UCR has the competence and technology necessary to transform innovative ideas into translational research projects, clinical studies and registry-based improvement projects. Our activities also include research in health economics. UCR work in a large network of academic researchers and experts and cooperate with many pharmaceutical companies.
Clinical research can be challenging with several different aspects to consider. UCR have extensive experience and expertise in database and registry development, study monitoring and project management in clinical research and even medical expertise in several areas. The services provided by UCR are biostatistics, clinical research, publication support and medical writing, quality registry center, R-RCT, UCR laboratory, Uppsala Biobank and ABC risk calculators.
Since the beginning in 2001, research initiatives and studies conducted in collaboration with UCR have resulted in publications in highly respected medical journals including The New England Journal of Medicine, The Journal of the American Medical Association and The Lancet.
