ibs.GRANADA is a research institute created to promote high-quality research in health in Granada, Spain. The Institute consists of 980 research professionals from the most relevant biomedical research institutions of Granada, including the University of Granada, the two tertiary and specialty public hospitals of Granada (San Cecilio Clinical University Hospital and Virgen de las Nieves University Hospital ), primary care centers, and the Andalusian School of Public Health.
The mission of ibs.GRANADA is to develop and promote a multidisciplinary scientific space for the development of biomedical research projects where basic groups cooperate with other groups working within the scope of translational research. ibs.GRANADA aims to be a benchmark in scientific excellence, quality and innovation in translational research within the fields of Biomedicine and Health Sciences, both at national and international level, following the model of other Biohealth Research Institutes recognized by the Spanish Carlos III Institute of Health (Ministry of Science).
