The division of Biotechnology at the Department of Biochemistry, University of Turku, belongs to EATRIS biomarkers technology network. The research carried out at the department is focused on design of novel analytical bioaffinity assay concepts and platforms, innovative, high performing label technologies, recombinant proteins and generation of binders as well as identifying new biomarkers through a synthetic antibody library. Application fields are found both within the medical and non-medical (environment, food) fields.
We provide the EATRIS network with bioaffinity assay development and biomarker research related services, which include advanced fluorescent reporter diagnostic tests and test systems and synthetic antibody libraries for rapid generation of specific binders for diagnostic and therapeutic use.
