The workshop “Integrating Sex and Gender Perspectives in Translational Oncology and Precision Medicine” will take place on 21 October 2026 at the Istituto Nazionale Tumori – IRCCS Fondazione G. Pascale in Naples.

The event is organized by the Istituto Nazionale Tumori – IRCCS Fondazione G. Pascale in Naples, in collaboration with the IRCCS Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche Mario Negri and the IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli.

The workshop will explore the integration of sex and gender perspectives throughout the translational oncology research continuum, from preclinical studies to clinical applications. Particular attention will be given to precision medicine, biomarker discovery, and the contribution of omics and multi-omics technologies to understanding biological variability and developing personalised therapeutic strategies.

Beyond the scientific dimension, the event will also address institutional strategies to advance gender equality in research, including the implementation of Gender Equality Plans, in line with European research and innovation priorities.
