The two-part EATRIS-BII Joint Event is for scientists in the EATRIS community who are interested in translational funding opportunities and professional guidance for early-stage life science projects that have the potential to benefit people and society. BII is keen to meet academics from across the life science space and this could include translational projects from across the research areas of pharmaceuticals, industrial biotechnology, or health technology.
In the first session on 27 January 2022 (15:00-16:00 CET), you will hear from the BioInnovation Institute (BII) team, based in Denmark, about the BII and opportunities for you to receive funding of up to 1,3m euros.
Part 2 takes place on 3 February 2022 (15:00 1800 CET), and you are invited to reserve a 20 min slot. This will involve giving a 10 min pitch on a translational project and 10 minutes of feedback from the BII team. You will receive advice on how you can best optimise your chances to receive funding from their calls. Presentations should include information on the founder, the scientific problem being solved, IP strategy, a description of the product, and, where possible, relevant market information; this could include competitors, target customers, etc.
This is an amazing opportunity for anyone from an EATRIS institution to potentially receive funding for their research to perform key experiments and develop a business plan, with the help of dedicated staff at the BII, including world-class coaches and experienced entrepreneurs.
*Please note that BII funding calls are open to international projects as long as successful candidates are willing to establish a company in Denmark.
