Games to support learning

Learn while playing with our games which introduce translational medicine concepts in a fun and team-focussed way

Repurpolis

In this board game, a development team will need to successfully bring a repurposing candidate to the patient, by building and playing the critical path. The path comprises essential steps like formulation, preclinical and clinical research, but also elements such as patient engagement, funding, regulatory interactions, commercialization and patient access. Each step is represented by playing cards with outcomes influenced by players’ decisions. Money and time can be won or lost along the way while boosters and wildcards can bring additional benefits or misfortune. The ultimate goal is to reach the patient within time and budget.

Escape to the Cloud

In this escape-room style game, players need to solve a series of translational data challenges set initially by their Principal Investigator to escape their postdoc office and reach the cloud… while learning all about FAIR and open science! From assessing the FAIRness of your groups data to investigating cloud services, with a visit from your friendly neighbourhood data steward in between (who of course has more work for you and your open science outputs), you have 5 challenges to complete before you finally escape and bask in the knowledge of a job well done.
