This webinar addresses intellectual property (IP) considerations for AI applications in stroke management. Participants will explore key concepts such as background vs. foreground IP and learn how to effectively map and manage IP assets generated during their research. The session will cover approaches for developing robust IP strategies to support innovation, and will provide time for interaction between participants. Attendees will leave with practical insights into protecting their innovations and enhancing the impact of their research.
The event is presented by EATRIS and hosted by the TRUSTroke project, which is building a novel platform to assist clinicians, patients and caregivers in the management of acute and chronic phases of ischemic stroke.
Speakers:
Anna Sanchez, Innovation Manager at EATRIS: Anna is responsible for the coordination and implementation of innovation services and driving the efforts of the translational feasibility assessment unit at EATRIS.
Tim Moser, Business Developer at the Netherlands Cancer Institute: Tim is a technology transfer professional working daily with technology IP management, including evaluating patentability, drafting and filing new patent applications, and developing technology IP through licenses and spinoffs.
Moderated by Sara Zullino, Scientific & SME Outreach Manager at EATRIS: Sara is responsible for supporting the ongoing management and cohesion of the Imaging & Tracing Platform at EATRIS and driving research initiatives that contribute to the development and the translation of reliable and impactful AI-powered solutions for clinical decision making.
