The University of Zagreb, Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry is the oldest and leading academic institution in Croatia training future pharmacists and medical biochemists, who serve as much-needed healthcare professionals and important stakeholders in healthcare institutions, the pharmaceutical industry, research institutions, and regulatory bodies.
The Faculty organises and delivers integrated undergraduate and graduate study programmes in pharmacy and medical biochemistry, seven postgraduate specialist study programmes, and a PhD study programme in the field of biomedicine and healthcare in the subfield of pharmacy
Given that the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry employs more than 100 employees who hold academic teaching and associate titles, the Faculty is one of the key research institutions in Croatia. The Faculty is a leader in scientific activity in the field of biomedicine and healthcare, the subfield of pharmacy, and the branches of pharmacy and medical biochemistry; it also plays an important role in the field of the natural sciences.
The Center for Translational Research and Innovations in Pharmacy conducts and develops scientific and highly specialized work, implements projects in collaboration with the industry, and provides services to other scientific and economic entities based on scientific excellence or on a commercial basis.
