The Norwegian Medical Cyclotron Center (NMS), established in 2006,  is a public-sector, non-profit company owned by Oslo University Hospital, Akershus University Hospital, and the University of Oslo. NMS distributes PET-radiopharmaceuticals across Norway. Profits are reinvested into the research and development (R&D) department.

Oslo Imaging and Therapy Laboratory (OITL) is the preclinical unit of NMS R&D, specialising in the synthesis, quality control, and screening of novel radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic applications in oncology, neurology, cardiology, and inflammation. The laboratory features an advanced imaging platform integrating multimodal molecular imaging techniques, enabling novel radiopharmaceutical research and development. OITL provides comprehensive support to both industry and academia throughout the radiopharmaceutical development process, from early drug discovery to preclinical model development characterization, bridging the gap between preclinical research and clinical translation.
