iRISE Train-the-Trainer Workshop 2: Preregistration

Build your capacity to train others in reproducible research.

Each workshop runs over two halfday online sessions, one week apart. Participants are expected to attend both sessions and complete a short homework task between them. Free to attend; places are limited.

  • Format: live online, interactive, smallgroup activities and discussion
  • Audience: trainers, educators, and researchers who teach or support best practice in research
  • Cost: free (registration required)
  • Time zone: UK time (GMT)

 

Workshop 2: Preregistration

What you’ll learn:

  • Why preregistration: tackling HARKing, phacking, and publication bias.
  • How-to: selecting platforms, specifying hypotheses, outcomes, analyses, and deviations.
  • Train-the-trainer skills: communicating benefits, handling common concerns, and tailoring training.

 

Who should attend:

  • Researchers and educators planning to teach or support preregistration
  • Trainers expanding their open research offerings
