Bridging Nordic ATMPs – webinar series

Please save the date for Bridging Nordic ATMP, a new ATMP Webinar Series hosted by the Nordic EATRIS Nodes (Sweden, Norway and Finland). The series will take place online 12.00-13.00 CET once every month starting 5 February 2025 with a lecture by an expert in the Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) field.

The next edition will take place on 4 June, featuring two speakers:

Dr Marie Gårdmark, Co-founder of RegSmart Life Science AB,
Talk title: ”Regulatory aspects of ATMP”

As Director of Licensing at MPA she was responsible for activities and decisions related to drug approvals and life cycle management including clinical trials and scientific advice. She led the agency’s work with innovation support. Her responsibility covered products of both biological and chemical origin within human and veterinary medicine. As a regulator, she has actively contributed to the development of new guidelines and legislation.

Dr Gårdmark has 10 years of experience from senior roles in small and big pharma companies mainly in Regulatory R&D as exemplified by development and implementation of global regulatory strategies, due diligence activities and scientific advice meetings in EU and US. Her main focus has been in clinical and preclinical research.

Her scientific background is in clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics and she has several years of experience from early drug development. She holds a PhD in pharmacokinetics from Uppsala University, Sweden.

Dr Anna Pasetto, University of Oslo,
Talk title: “Resources to support ATMP development and manufacturing: the ACT-Centre at the Oslo University Hospital and national infrastructure ATMP Norway”

Dr. Anna Pasetto is Director of the Centre for Advanced Cell Therapy (ACT) at Oslo University Hospital and Associate Professor at the University of Oslo, roles held since 2022. Prior to this, they served as Assistant Professor and Managing Director of the pre-GMP facility in the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Karolinska Institutet, Sweden, where they continue to be affiliated as a research specialist.

Dr Pasetto earned a Master’s degree in Molecular Biotechnology in 2007 from Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, Italy, and completed a PhD at Karolinska Institutet in 2012. In 2013, they joined the National Cancer Institute, NIH, as a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Steven Rosenberg, focusing on isolating TCR genes from mutation-reactive tumour-infiltrating lymphocytes in metastatic solid cancers.

Her professional focus is on supporting and advancing the development of novel immunotherapies for cancer.

The webinar will be moderated by prof Pontus Aspenström (National Director of EATRIS Sweden).
