EATRIS is further building on already established research quality initiatives and continues to bring together the research community for the exchange of best practice, sharing of robust methods nurturing a culture that reflects those values. EATRIS advocates for renewed responsible research practices which have a greater impact on translating scientific discoveries into patient benefit, notably through offering solutions to the reproducibility challenges in biomedical research, equipping researchers in translational medicine with the knowledge necessary to accelerate innovation, fostering cross-sectoral collaborations, normalising Patient Engagement (PE), as well as empowering patients to be co-creators in the research process.
Stories

EATRIS Expert Mentoring Service for Rare Disease Researchers
Piloted under EJP RD and fully implemented into ERDERA, EATRIS is offering mentoring support to advance translational research projects through providing experts in key R&D processes such as regulatory, pre-clinical modelling or drug innovative delivery.

EATRIS Quality Initiative
The EATRIS Quality Initiative (EQI) is an umbrella structure for EATRIS activities addressing reproducibility, best practice guidelines, benchmarking, standards and reference materials, embracing robust research principles

EATRIS Commitment to Quality Certificate (ECCQ)
EATRIS Certificate for Commitment to Quality (ECCQ) recognises institutional efforts in providing quality research. By obtaining the ECCQ, units can showcase their commitment to quality.

EATRIS Inside for Research Funders
Through EATRIS Translational Assessment, EATRIS supports investigators in assessing and optimising the translational feasibility and potential of their projects. Investigators can optimise their plans according to the realities of the development pipeline.

Patient Engagement Resource Centre (PERC) promoting uptake of PE practices in Translational Research
The Patient Engagement Resource Centre (or ‘PERC’) is an easy-to-navigate platform that features publicly available guidance, training and practical tools to help researchers get started with patient engagement, particularly in the early stages of biomedical research.

Multi-omics Toolbox community driven method of providing validated resources to omics researchers
The Multi-omics Toolbox (MOTBX) is an open access web resource to help expedite translational research by making it easier for researchers in academia and industry to find high-quality curated resources related to multi-omics analysis.
