The position is intended for full-time research including small contributions to university teaching and other supporting tasks. The employment may possibly continue for longer.

The project aims at improving personalized medicine research through developing machine learning and other predictive models of drug response that enable suggesting individualized treatment options based on response-predictive biomarkers.  Specific sub-projects range from enhancing the reproducibility and translability of pre-clinical treatment response results to guiding clinical decision making (e.g., prognostic models for patient outcomes) and speeding-up and de-risking of clinical studies by means of better experimental designs and models for treatment responses. Each of the sub-projects can be successfully completed only by a multi-disciplinary approach, which combines advanced computational modelling and modern molecular biotechnologies in life sciences.
