Background information

The role of the EUPATI Advisory Board Provide is to provide advice to the EUPATI Governance (Board of Trustees, EUPATI Board or secretariat) on issues pertaining to regulatory, HTA, ethics and other domains. The members of the Advisory Board perform their role at a volunteer basis (remuneration is considered when extensive review/work is required). The Advisory Board meetings are conducted online or face to face as necessary.

Key tasks

  • Coordinate, in close collaboration with the EUPATI Executive Director, the establishment
    of the EUPATI Advisory Committee with representation of:
    o Regulatory
    o HTA
    o Ethics
    o Overarching topics
  • Based on the recommendations of the EUPATI Board, establish the Terms of Reference and
    mode of functioning for the Advisory Board
  • Launch the call for Advisors and execute the selection process in a transparent manner, in
    collaboration with the EUPATI Secretariat and the EUPATI Board
  • Put in place a regular meeting schedule for the Advisory Board
  • Organise the regular meetings, define the agenda for the meetings and minute the
    outcomes, in collaboration with the EUPATI Executive Director
  • Inform the EUPATI Board and the EUPATI Executive Director of the Recommendations of the
    Advisory Board

Knowledge, skills, experience and competencies

Essential
  • Important level of knowledge in the field of medicines R&D, regulatory affairs, HTA and ethics
  • Experience in coordinating expert level committees/advisory groups
  • Knowledge of or interest in patient engagement and advocacy
  • Fluent in written and oral English
Desirable
  • Knowledge of the EUPATI governance structure, EUPATI trainings, EUPATI content development
    and/or other EUPATI activities

  • Structured and organised
  • Strong attention to detail

LOCATION: Remote (home-based)
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Short-term, part-time consultancy contract for March-December 2021 (with the possibility of renewal)
HOURS: Up to 100 hours for the contract period, based on detailed timesheets
START DATE: As soon as possible
SCOPE: Up to 100 hours for the contract period, based on detailed timesheets
RATE: To be negotiated
DEADLINE: Rolling recruitment process starting 3 March 2021
