New journal from the University of Helsinki

On behalf of the editors of the Journal for Reproducibility in Neuroscience:

“Reproducibility is one of the cornerstones of conducting good science. However, studies which succeed to replicate data in the literature or fail to reproduce are often rejected for publication. As a result, incalculable amount of valuable material – that could potentially strengthen solid scientific theories or reveal the unreliable ones – remain unpublished. Journal for Reproducibility in Neuroscience (JRepNeurosci) aims to help make those data public and available for all, without costs for authors or readers, it means no Article Processing Charges. JRepNeurosci operates in the open access model as a peer-reviewed , non-profit journal hosted by the University of Helsinki library and endorsed by the Neuroscience Center of University of Helsinki. We would like to invite our peer scientists from different fields of Neuroscience to submit their results from replication of independent experiments or whole studies. To ensure a fair revision process, we offer the options of single/double-blinded or open revision. Commentaries, mini-review and articles regarding the topic of reproducibility are also welcomed.

Please check our website (journals.helsinki.fi/jrn) or twitter account (@jrepneurosci)for further inquiries, register to receive notifications and to support us.

Also, we kindly ask you to share the information with fellow scientists. As this is an early stage journal, your support and contribution are extremely valuable.”
