Every European citizen is affected by cancer, either directly or indirectly. That is why the new Cancer Mission, promoted by the European Commission in the context of Horizon Europe, will be crucial to develop new solutions to fight the disease.
On the 22nd September, a high level group of experts, produced a report to define the main objectives of the Horizon Europe Cancer Mission. BBMRI, EATRIS, ECRIN and ELIXIR came together and produced a statement that builds up on the reports’ acknowledgment that European research infrastructures must be involved in the implementation of the mission.
