Call open for IMIBIC-P2Med Fellowships

IMIBIC-P2Med is a new Fellowship Programme that will attract talented researchers of any nationality to work at the Maimonides Biomedical Research institute of Cordoba (IMIBIC) in Córdoba, south of Spain.
The programme offers 6 Fellowships of up to 3 years to experienced researchers. The selected Fellows will be nominated as Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellows. These Fellowships are well known worldwide and recognised as one of the most prestigious fellowships in Europe.
The Fellowships are targeted to experienced researchers of any nationality. Researchers holding a PhD, or researchers with equivalent experience, are eligible. In addition, eligible applicants shall not have resided or carried out their main activity in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the deadline of the call.

Call Calendar

  • Call Opening: 1st of October 2019
  • Application deadline: 10th of January 2020 at midnight CET
  • Evaluation and Selection: January – May 2020
  • Fellowships start date: June – September 2020

Fellowship Characteristics

Duration

Applicants may propose a fellowship between 12 and 36 months, depending on their research and training plan and career development needs.

Funding

The Annual Gross Salary ranges between 34.850 € and 38.930 € depending on the Fellow’s family status. All Fellows will also receive 6.360 € per year for research and training costs.
The researchers awarded with the fellowships will be employed for the entire duration of the Fellowship, with full Social Security coverage, including full health insurance and unemployment benefits.

Research Areas

Applicants may propose a research projects in the areas corresponding to the five scientific programmes of IMIBIC:
 Active aging and Frailty
 Nutrition and endocrine and metabolic diseases
 Infectious and immunological diseases and organ transplantation
 Cancer (Oncology and Oncohematology)
 Chronic and Inflammatory Diseases.
