EUROPEAN INFRASTRUCTURE FOR TRANSLATIONAL MEDICINE

Helping turn biomedical discoveries into novel tools and interventions for better health outcomes for society

EATRIS

EATRIS is the European infrastructure for translational medicine. We bring together resources and services for research communities to translate scientific discoveries into benefits for patients.

EATRIS provides unique one-stop shop access to cross-disciplinary expertise and cutting-edge technologies necessary to successfully move early-stage research closer to the patient. EATRIS received the status of European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC) from the European Commission in November 2013.

EATRIS is currently supported by 14 European countries, 12 members and 2 observers, and regroup 144 academic research institutes and university medical centres, which share a dedication to improve Europe’s culture of translation.

Our research infrastructure accelerates innovation in Europe by initiating and facilitating academia-industry collaborations, and offering access to high level expertise, which all play an essential role overcoming barriers to health innovation. The infrastructure also supports private and public funders of translational research through quality assessment and mentoring programmes, ensuring their investment leads to limited funding waste and optimised patient impact.
