Phase I: Where Science becomes Medicine

The Manchester Cancer Research Centre (MCRC) and the Experimental Cancer Medicine Centres (ECMC) network will be hosting a three-day conference:

Phase I: Where Science becomes Medicine, at The Hilton Deansgate, in Manchester city centre.

The keynote speakers include Dr Lillian Siu (Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto) and Professor Skip Burris (Sarah Cannon Research Institute, Nashville), with more to be confirmed.

Sessions will include:

  •          Novel targets and their impacts on trial designs
  •          Radiotherapy combinations
  •          Immuno-oncology
  •          Precision Medicine
  •          Advanced Therapies
  •          Trial Design Methodology

The Manchester Cancer Research Centre (MCRC) was established in 2006 by three founding partners: The University of Manchester, Cancer Research UK and The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. Since its creation, the MCRC has widened its reach to drive forward cancer research in other NHS trusts within Greater Manchester and to link with other cancer-specific funding bodies.
