The postgraduate Training Programmes in Pharmaceutical Medicine are based on curricular units in a modular format. The ECPM Diploma Course comprises six modules (24 days) spread over a two year period and provides a foundation of integrated knowledge in science-based medical product development and regulation. Each module has a face-to-face course plus distance-learning activities, which allows a vocational training.
Who should apply
To be eligible for enrolment in the ECPM Course, applicants must have a university degree, an MD or a PhD. The ECPM Course is a postgraduate education programme designed for pharmaceutical industry, regulatory and university professionals to improve their skills. The programme is particularly aimed at scientists who are involved in the drug development process and have already at least 1-2 years working experience.
The tuition fee for the entire course amounts to CHF 14,750. A reduced fee of CHF 13,750 applies to the ECPM Consortium, “Weiterbildungsstätten” of SGPM (Swiss Society of Pharmaceutical Medicine) and SwAPP (Swiss Association of Pharmaceutical Professionals) and for companies who register more than 10 participants. The special fee for members of Universities and regulatory authorities is CHF 9,000. The fee includes online course material, lunches, coffee breaks and final MCQ-examination (Certificate of Advanced Studies). Printed course material are provided for CHF 500. For the oral/essay examination CHF 750 will be charged.
Applications together with a one-page curriculum vitae and a copy of the University diploma (or a certified English or German translation) should be submitted either via the online registration form and by mail.
Applications are reviewed by the course directorate and will be confirmed on an ongoing basis. Please refer to the deadline for the course you enrolling in. As enrolment is limited, prospective participants are encouraged to apply well in advance.
ECPM Course participants will be registered as students at the University of Basel at no cost. To obtain the student card a separate form (requiring a printed photo) will be provided by the university.
Take the opportunity and register for the 15th cycle of the ECPM Diploma Course (2019-2021) and start with Module 1 in September 2019.
