A new Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme for future leaders in Biomedical Research
IMIBIC Fellowship Programme for Personalised and Precision Medicine is a new Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND Programme (H2020 Grant Agreement No. 847468) at the Maimonides Biomedical Research Institute of Cordoba (IMIBIC), Córdoba, Spain.
IMIBIC-P2Med offers Postdoctoral Fellowships of up to 36 months to experienced researchers. Six Fellowships, all based in IMIBIC, with optional research stays at our Partner Organisations, will be awarded in a single Call for Proposals that opens in October 2019. The Fellows will develop projects within the Institute’s 5 scientific programmes:
I) Active ageing and Frailty.
II) Nutrition and endocrine and metabolic diseases.
III) Infectious and immunological diseases and organ transplantation.
IV) Cancer (Oncology and Oncohematology).
V) Chronic and Inflammatory Diseases.
IMIBIC-P2Med will contribute to bridging the gap between the medical, biological and computational worlds, by facilitating the access for clinical researchers as well as welcoming bioinformaticians and basic researchers to carry out research projects in close collaboration within clinical research groups.
Fellowship & timetable
The Call for proposals will open in October, and allows IMIBIC to hire at least 6 researchers for contracts of up to 3 years.

Funding
The IMIBIC Fellowship Programme for Personalised and Precision Medicine has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement 847468 (EU contribution €662,040). It is jointly funded by the University of Cordoba, the Regional Government of Andalusia (Junta de Andalucía) and the Fundación para la Investigación Biomédica de Córdoba (FIBICO).
