The Scientific Assistant is responsible for providing scientific support and administrative services to the Chief Scientific Officer for the Biorefinery department.

Key Accountabilities

-Prepare presentations, scientific publications, grant applications, meeting minutes and other documents requiring a knowledge of biology, research and biobanking

-Proofread scientific texts, reports, etc.

-Manage the scientific reference library (I, Librarian, End Note…)

-Contribute actively to the writing of method validation reports

-As deputy for the Administrative Assistant (Quality Management), provide administrative support to the Quality Manager in all duties related to the efficient functioning of the quality system

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications

-Master in Biology or Biopharmaceutics

-3-5 years of experience with similar job profile

-High level of accuracy & confidentiality concerning personal, financial and scientific matter

-Analytical and problem solving skills (synthetic spirit)

-Flexibility (multi-tasks and multi-persons and hours of work)

-Excellent interpersonal skills and speaking, listening and writing communication skills

-Stress management and time management skills

-Advanced skills in use of general office software (Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Share Point, End Notes…)

Language Skills

-High level of English proficiency (speaking, reading, writing).  Additional fluency in French, German or Luxembourgish would be a plus
