Partnering opportunities: Enterprise Europe Network

Published 9 August 2016

On June 7, EATRIS was given the opportunity to pitch its translational medicine infrastructure at the bi-annual Healthcare Sector Group meeting of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN). This Network helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) make the most of business opportunities in the EU and beyond. It has 600 member organizations, including chambers of commerce, universities and TTOs that offer a range of services, including advice on EU Law and Standards, Intellectual Property Rights, Research Funding and Technology Transfer.

As a matchmaker they collect partnering offerings (est. 80%) and requests (est. 20%) that can be submitted after registration on their website.  After an interactive Q&A session with over 30 national contact points of EEN, it was concluded that the EATRIS infrastructure with it’s translational services offered by the platforms can be considered a valuable extension of their matchmaking toolbox.
